GORE, JERRY With family at his side, Jerry Dillard Gore Jr. passed away early Tuesday morning, June 6, 2006. Survived by son, Jerry David Gore and daughter Patricia Ann Winegardner, brother, James Marion Gore and his wife, Evelyn, and niece, Judy Reynolds; two grandchildren, Christel and Amber; four great grandchildren, Chelbie, Wesley, Daija, and Dominick. Preceeded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Lynn Gore, and parents, Joe Dillard Gore and Nannie Lee Dunn. Jerry was born December 30, 1929 in Mt. Calm, TX. Graduated salutatorian from Coolidge High School in 1947, then attended Baylor University from 1950-1952, and graduated from The University of Texas in 1955. Jerry was a Sergeant in the US Air Force from 1947-1950 and Captain in the U.S.Air Force Reserves for 12 years. Jerry retired from E-systems after a successful 35 year career beginning in 1955. He loved old war documentaties, coffee, and most of all his family. Always willing to help anyone in need, a son's best friend, a daughter's hero, separated by death for a little while, our memories, our joys, our love will remain forever. The world was a better place for "Paso por aqui"; he passed this way. Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, 2006 from 7:00-8:30 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Services are Friday, June 9, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
